Mykonos, May 2018

We got out of bed at 10am which trust me was a struggle and headed for breakfast. The breakfast was generally what was I expected. Lots of choice, fry up food eg bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, so much bread, desserts, salamis, cheeses, cereal etc.
After breakfast we ended up booking a catamaran tour for the Wednesday to one of the neighbouring islands.

Next we got ready to head to the old town for some shopping. We ended up buying some jewellery for ourselves and family and other souvenirs for friends. The one thing about Mykonos which is good and bad is that there are very few souvenir shops selling tat. Most of the stores sell really nice things and the boutiques are quite upmarket. This sucks as you want to buy everything. The streets of the old town are exactly like every Instagram photo you've ever seen. Pristine white buildings and cobbled streets, it's so beautiful. I've never seen a Greek island like this.
As we were wandering we stopped at the bar Bonbonniere which is opposite Louis Vuitton. We had a couple of cocktails and people watched, it's an outdoor bar which was perfect for the 22 degree weather we had. There are a lot of designer shops in Mykonos which surprised me such as Zadig & Voltaire, Louis, Michael Kors. I'd say eating out in the old town is reasonable, €50 for dinner for two people but in the hotel it would be around €70 for less food. We tried to eat and drink outside the hotel as much as possible due to this. Bus this is no surprise as hotels are generally more expensive.

We continued shopping then had dinner at this waterfront restaurant called Nice n Easy in Little Venice. We then wandered around Little Venice, it's really cute and there are lots of bars in that area and a few more shops also. We got a few food and drink supplies from a kiosk then got the 8:30 shuttle back to the hotel.
We had a few glasses of wine and watched a couple of films before falling asleep.
